what’s up in dakwanie’s world

Forgive me peeps. I know, it’s kind of bersawang oledi. Nevermind…. my vacum cleaner is now up and running, so let us sedut all these sawang and get rolling.

Hell lots of things revolving around my so called ordinary life recently. Started with my transfer to Wisma, then Mon landed a great job at PULAU INDAH - Klang, we then decided that the cost of petrol for mon to travel everyday is ridiculously expensive, so MON decided to rent a house at Pulau Indah. Maintaining one house is already a hell of a job, what more TWO. So we decided to move our things to Pulau Indah and move out of our 4 years love hut. During weekdays, I will stay at Omak’s place in my beautiful 5 star room and Mon will stay at Pulau Indah. So while I am away from the blogging arena,  I am now :

1) officially Mon’s weekends wife (muahahhahahah);

2) Officially omak’s new housemate;

3) officially early to work ( because I am travelling from Bangi); AND

4) officially taking care of the World Environmental issues

So peeps, I again OFFICIALLY apologize for the spider webs on my blog as I was officially DAMN busy and out of hands!

Attitudes and Perceptions

I’ve been told by so many people that it’s not going to be easy.

I’ve also been told that there might be some negative receptions to our existence at the new office.

I’ve also been told that sometimes, cooperation might be difficult.

But so far after 2 days being a full timer at the new office’s library. I noticed that,

not everybody gave us negative looks,

but

not everybody smiled,

and

there are people who think we are there just to -go jalan jalan,

still

there are people who think we are lucky and we should use this opportunity wisely.

All these years I stay by a principle that respects are gained not given, so  here I am waiting patiently for my assignments, and promised to work hard to prove that  I CAN DO IT!

lattest passion

Since I visited aiza’s blog and was really impressed by her crafts , I begun making my own handmade cards.

So, as a token of appreciation to all my staff for a remarkable friendship for the past 1 1/2 years, I’ve made each of them a special thank you card. So here they are….

Today is my last day at Ministry of Finance. I am embarking on a new journey with Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 Thank you all

For your love and kindness. For the great team work. For being  great friends and co-workers.

Thank you all,

For making my days full of joy. For giving me support to move on. For being there when I’m lost.

Thank you all,

The New Petrol Subsidies Plan

As expected, the anouncement created a chaos and panic attack nation wide. Everywhere, people rushed to petrol station, as if, by doing so, they would be able to save SO much.

Yes, people, you deserve to be angry. But here are some points for us to ponder

1) Despite the increase of petrol price in Malaysia up to 78 cents per litre. The price of oil in Malaysia are still relatively cheap compared to other countries in the world.

2) Malaysia is still giving subsidies, in total worth of 30 cents per litre. On top of that each vehicle owner (2000 cc and below) will get a cash subsidy of RM 625 annually when they renew their road tax. For cars with 2000cc and above will get a road tax discount of RM 200.

3)Motorcyclist with vehicles up to 250 cc will get RM 150 cash subsidy annually. Bike with 250cc and above will get road tax discount of RM 50

4) With the reduction of petrol subsidies, the government will be able to save RM 13.7 billion  annually, and that same amount of money will be used to subsidised food products.

The increase of oil price is unavoidable, because apparently oil is becoming a scarce natural resources, and  due to that plus the economic recession in America, the price is going extra ridiculously high. Thus I shall say the price increase is reasonable.

As a civilised citizen, we should look at this from a positive angle. This is the time we should stand as one united nation, and hopefully we would be able to walk out of this global economic recession stronger than ever.

It is true that with every increase in Petrol price, there will be a huge increase in other things especially food. It is our responsibility to boycott those shops and reports them to the ministry in charge so that actions could be taken against them.

Put it this way, Malaysia is not going bankrupt or anything like that, it is just another difficult time for the nation, it will soon pass, if we stay united.

Quotes

I am currently reading a lovely book by Mitch Albom entitled “the five people you meet in heaven”. Will write about it in dakwanie’s books club once i finish. Meanwhile, please enjoy these beautiful words quoted from the book:

People think heaven is a paradise garden, a place where they can float on clouds and laze in rivers and mountains. But scenary without solace is meaningless”

and

“People often belittle the place where they were born. But heaven can be found in most unlikely corners”

 to this Manoq add

“especially in the arms of your loved ones “

p/s: yess people, manoq is now so the very the KARAT.
