23rd AJL - The Best WE HAVE SEEN SO FAR

Call me crazy, call me nuts, call me inconsiderate or even call the police to report my misconduct, call who ever, still I will never regrets putting my TV on it’s maximum volume during Faizal Tahir’s performance in Anugerah Juara Lagu last Sunday.

What else can I say about the AJL? It was the best I’ve ever seen. Every single song (maybe except for Ziana Zain and that arabic ethnic creative song) deserved to be at the prestigous competition.  Although some critics , questioned the victory of Lagu Untuk Mu by Meet Uncle Hussein, I frankly think they deserve it ( who else can sing at that pitch perfectly?). Still it will be sweet if Faizal Tahir was made the overall champion.

But my standing ovation also goes to Aizat for that beautiful song and sweet performance, Stacy for her remarkable energy and dance moves, Ayu for her beautiful voice and proving to us that you can hit the high note without making an ugly face or closing(or half closed) one of your eyes (get what i mean?), to Elyana for a cute performance and of course to the producers of AJL 23, for finally coming to their senses and let the jury decide who is the best performance ( or else, batang kayu like mawi will win forever).

It was a great event. I fell in love with Faizal Tahir and Meet Uncle Hussein. What else can I say?
